News - Deep Diving 10/6/13
In Jakarta |
"What Have You Been Doing?" - You may ask? - answer>
Well - I've been doing 30 dives at 14 Fathoms!!
Yes you heard right - no Bull!! - Why? - Because the radiation from my cancer treatment burned out my saliva glands = No saliva = decaying teeth, and I mean – Get on to it now !!
I require Hyperbaric Treatment before
surgery to eliminate the possibility of contracting a disease of
the jawbone called Osteoradionecrosis, which is caused by radiated bone
being exposed to the atmosphere - Very Nasty!!! -- jawbone rots and its very
ugly stuff, not good look!!
SO they're going to have to do it in stages to
make sure the gums heal.
I have had 30 treatments in the Wesley Hospital
Brisbane. Having to drive into Bris 1 hr 40 min., then back home, 5 days a week
to get into a chamber with 8 other lovely oldies in different shades of decay, -
sit reading / meditating for two hours - digesting Hi potency oxygen while
wearing a space type helmet at 14 fathoms. Simulated of course! - Amazing - weird and many other feelings!
– No fish or tentacles at the portholes unfortunately – {I did suggest they add some such aesthetics for our entertainment - [got funny looks]}. - It was great meeting older folk from many different walks of life, and we actually bonded in a very short time – a most enjoyable experience from those lovely people, Nurses & Staff.
After this treatment I've noticed my beard is growing back where the radiation had stopped my sideburns from growing. whoopie!! -----so it’s working on me. --- Elvis impersonations are back on the agenda!!
All very trying and complicated but needs to be done – I mean - I don’t want to be the Gummy Guitarist.
TOO much information? – Well I’ve had not much time for anything else - so that’s what’s been happening.
But !!- I do get to play the Great Jimi Hendrix Show this weekend in Melbourne with a bunch of Great Players on the 14th of June coming at The Palms at Crown.– No fish or tentacles at the portholes unfortunately – {I did suggest they add some such aesthetics for our entertainment - [got funny looks]}. - It was great meeting older folk from many different walks of life, and we actually bonded in a very short time – a most enjoyable experience from those lovely people, Nurses & Staff.

Then 2 Hendrix shows in July -5th at the Factory Theater - and 6th at the Concourse in Sydney.
I hope you will come and Celebrate The Great Jimi Hendrix's works of art with us who were all inspired buy his Great Creative Spirit!
Cheers Kevin

Watch Me Get Painted - All Over Now !!
Hi, - - it was a chance meeting
- he said "Do you mind ?" I said " How long will it take, I'm
on my way home and it’s about a 10 hour drive from here so I can't be waiting
around". -
Hope to see you at a show.
"Ok then, hang on to
your seat - I'll rev it up, - don't be alarmed when all you see is a blur -
that'll be me - so I won't keep you long, just keep as still as you can - OK?
"
Intrigued by the thought of
a human turning into a blur, I agreed - and this is what I saw happening – Look Here
So
what do you think – will it
have a chance? - - LOL !!
I’m Ringin' Ma Bell, Like
the Town Criers used to do Way Way Way Back – now we use the internet Ding Dong – I'm Ringin' this Thing!!!
The news being next week on
March 15th were playing at the Flying Saucer Club in Melbourne, so
wear your Alien dancing shoes and come to be transported in Rhythm -Rhyme and
FunkinBluesRock
On Saturday 16th
we’ll be playing at The Forth Valley Blues Festival near Launceston Tasmania. my
first time there so really looking forward to the fun.
Back in the silver winged module
on Sunday the 17th to play a Melbourne afternoon show at The Williamstown R SL . That’s always a great crowd, so
be early to get a good position.
Then we head back home
where I chain myself into “The Bunker” of my Vibrating House Studio and keep
cookin' my next dishes up for you – its all the rage you know – Cooking –
everywhere on the bloody Tele - people cookin – Bitchy “My Kitchen Rules” etc –
introduced false drama galore, it seems that’s a Very important ingredient to
keep em viewing.
Not me - I’m
chained in the Bunker wallowing in my on real Drama, its smelling great to my ears, and I’m aiming that it will
Tantalize yours and live Comfortably in your Heart of favorites.
I can hear you saying –
“Kev, it’s been being a very slow bake ”
Maybe - so but the joy is
being instilled & infused with all the intrigue I can muster to fascinate -
-.
Hope to see you at a show.

Almost Blown Away
Hi there,
I was on tour in Melbourne when Cyclone Oswald hit our home
up in the Maleny Mountains.
I’d been watching the news coverage as it past through
Bundaberg reeking allsorts of havoc heading for where my family were so I was
worried. I went to the airport to
get on the flight I’d booked, but planes were not landing in Maroochydore &
the highway was cut between Brisbane and our place so I stayed with my friends
Tyke n Lou . Never had a cyclone
got so far south keeping such intensity. The Phones were dead, we usually have
good mobile coverage at home, not now, I couldn’t check to see if things were
all ok and the TV coverage now had it passing right over the sunshine coast –
our territory. No contact for 3 days – then Millie called – she’d driven to
higher ground to receive mobile connection saying over the windy background
noise that they had not had power or phones for 4 days & they were taking
quite a battering, the worst she’d ever experienced since our move up.
Thankfully they were ok, shaken but great news to me.
I managed to get a flight out the next day and was met by
Mill & family at the airport and saw lots of damage that had occurred on
the way home, mostly up rooted trees, lots of debris & swollen creeks.
A couple of days & nights still without power were very
relaxing with candles a glow and no TV sniping at us .
So It was great to be home, we still had one - unlike some
unfortunate folk who we really feel for.
Back to he mission -
My next tour with The Express members - Harry “Thunder Thumb
Brus and Paul “ The Feel Dealer” Wheeler is back down to Melbourne to play at
The Flying Saucer Club www.flyingsaucerclub.com.au
on Friday the 15th
March. A new venue for us so please come and join us enjoy it.
Then on the 16th we fly to
Launceston Tasmania to play The Forth Valley Blues festival
www.forthvalleyblues.com
should be great – I’ve
never done that one, so really looking forward to the experience.
Back to Melbourne Sunday
morning the 17th to play an afternoon show at my favorite RSL the
Williamstown RSL where we always have a full house – so get there early to find
a good spot.
A reminder to check out my
shop at www.kevinborich1.com - the new Girly singlet’s are selling like hot cakes –
a a aand they do look hot !! And
there’s my CD’s DVD’s and T-Shirts.
Thanks for your support –
And I hope to see you.
Love n Cheers Kevin

KB's January Update
Clowns Tour Update -
Due to promotional issues this test tour is being rescheduled to later in the year. The NSW dates are canceled.
We've had great positive reaction from crowd attendances for the
band, singer Vince Contarino & myself enjoyed playing together so
the promoters have
decided that a PR strategy to introduce the concept and its members
be undertaken to let people know Who & what the Clowns are about. I
will let you know its progress down the track.
My next shows are with the Kevin Borich Express featuring Harry Brus on Bass & Paul Wheeler on Drums
March Fri 15th - The Flying Saucer Club Elstinwick Melbourne [its a small intimate venue so book early]
March Sat 16th - The Forth Valley Blues Festival Tasmania
March Sun 17th- Williamstown RSL [afternoon show]
Meanwhile I'll be back in the studio working on tracks for my new CD. And don't forget the store is still open with lots of my Cd's form the past at www.kevinborich1.com
All the Best & Cheers n Love Kevin
