Welcome to this edition of the KB Boogie News

Hello Blogger, I  hope all is good in your hood.

There’s a few exciting things about to happen.

In three weeks or so I’ll be releasing my “Call a Friend” song, it's the one I asked Russell Morris to sing with mien tag team style, he said “Sure thing Kev”.

So Nick (my producer) & I went to his place and within a couple of hours he’d done a great vocal.

It's kinda about how some friends that you used to see quite a bit of in the past have faded off your radar and you’re thinking about calling them to see how they’re going.

Also I’ve had quite a few roadies over time who are now hitting very hard times due to the demise of the live music scene, now accelerated by the relatively new lockout laws. Of course, this is in the Mental health domain which is also affecting many of our farmers terribly. It these situations a call from a friend can help them cope. People in both of these occupations are now known to have taken their own lives.

Then there are also people who suffer depression who need a call from a friend – or someone.

The song is a reminder that real personal communication from others is essential for all of us.

Borich X Borich + Brus Double CD and DVD combined     AUD40.00

My Son Lucius had some time off from touring with the Band COG back in 2007 so we thought it would be great to do a show together, with our old friend Harry Brus on Bass at Sydney’s Basement Club.

Lucius has grown up hearing my songs, so it was easy to get together and have a blast with a lot of musician friends there to witness it – thanks guys! [Look out for Rose Tattoo lads Angry Anderson's head and Mick Cox's nose in the shadows]

Unbeknown to me, Clayton Doley was there playing with Alien Zoo, opening the night – so I invited him to Jam - we quickly talked through a couple of songs -- and he was fantastic! – as Doley’s are!!

THEN ! Another complete surprise to me was Leo Sayer getting up with us. Harry plays with Leo and invited him up on stage. What a great way to meet a great artist!! I hope you enjoy the show – We sure did!! Love n Cheers Kevin
